Giant Christmas Wreath

This wreath from Homemade Ginger is perfect to sit atop a gorgeous mantle or for hanging in a large window for everyone to see.

Materials:

  1. Hula Hoop
  2. Twine
  3. Letters to spell out “JOY” inside the hoop
  4. Eucalyptus, real or fake to make this a reusable project
  5. Spray paint in the color of your choice

Spray paint your hula hoop and let it dry completely before moving on. Wrap the twine around the hula hoop going from one side across to the other like a dream catcher. Tie pieces of eucalyptus around the outside of the hula hoop. Finally, hang the letters from the top of the hula hoop to spell “JOY” in the center.

DIY Geometric Ornaments

These ornaments from The Merry Thought will certainly give an eclectic and updated feel to your holiday décor.

Materials:

  1. Geometric brass jewelry connectors
  2. String
  3. Scissors

Cut 8-inch pieces of string for each of your brass shapes. Connect the ends of one piece of string and tie a knot to make a circle. Loop the string circle through a brass shape and pull tight like a slip-knot. It’s that simple!

These candleholders from Vienna Wedekind will look great on a dining table or for decorating a credenza or mantle. You could even update them to use throughout the year.

Materials:

  1. A good-looking clear glass bottle
  2. A taper candle
  3. Twigs of evergreens
  4. Scissors
  5. A knife to shape the candle
  6. Tap water

Use the knife to shape the bottom of the candle to fit the neck of the bottle. Set your fitted candle aside. Make sure the candle stands snug and straight.
